This Policy describes how Menvi ("Menvi", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares,
and protects your information when you use our iOS app and the website
menvi.app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree
to the practices described here.
In short: Menvi stores the videos you save and generates transcripts, catalogs,
and summaries from them. We collect only what's needed to make that work — your account, the
content you save, and basic usage data. We do not sell your data.
1. What Menvi is
Menvi lets you save videos from social networks (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X,
Pinterest, and others), or upload your own files, to automatically generate a transcript of the
speech, a catalog (topic, format, key points), and daily summaries, with search by content. It's a
productivity tool — a "second brain" for the videos you consume.
2. Data we collect
Account data
- Name and email — provided by you when you sign in with Apple or
Google. We do not create or store passwords; authentication is handled by Apple/Google.
Content you save
- The links, videos, and files you save; and the transcripts,
catalogs, notes, groups, and summaries
generated from them.
Usage, diagnostics, and attribution data
- Basic technical information (device type, app version, error logs) to operate and improve the Service.
- Marketing attribution data — to understand which campaign or channel you came from, we
use AppsFlyer and, on iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow it in the
"Allow Tracking" prompt (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, the app works normally.
Purchase data
- When you subscribe to Menvi Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple (in the app) or
Cakto (on the website). We never receive or store your card details; we only receive the
subscription status (active, renewed, canceled) and the associated email.
3. How we use your data
- Provide the Service: download/receive the video, transcribe, catalog, generate summaries, and enable search.
- Manage your account, plan, and usage limits.
- Process and maintain your subscription.
- Send notifications you enabled (for example, "video ready").
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (with your tracking consent).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Who we share with (subprocessors)
To operate the Service, we use providers that process data on our behalf, only as needed:
- Apple and Google — account authentication.
- Anthropic (Claude) — cataloging and summary generation from the transcript.
- OpenAI — optionally, transcription and/or semantic search.
- Apify — downloading the video from the link you provide.
- RevenueCat and Apple — subscription management in the app; Cakto —
payment on the website.
- AppsFlyer — marketing attribution (with your consent).
- Hosting provider — servers where the Service and database run.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party advertising beyond the attribution described above.
5. International transfer
Menvi serves users in several countries. Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country
of residence. We take measures to protect such transfers as required by applicable law.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete videos individually at any
time in the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below —
we handle the request within a reasonable time, unless legally required to retain it.
7. Security
We use HTTPS for all communication and access controls on the database. No system is 100% secure, but we work
to protect your information against unauthorized access.
8. Your rights
Under applicable law (including the GDPR in the European Union and the LGPD in Brazil), you may request access,
correction, portability, or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use the contact below.
9. Children
Menvi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by the "last updated" date at
the top of this page.
